Story time

Teaching aims and learning objectives教学目标:
1.能初步听懂、会说、会读:at weekends, grandparent, play with, very much, chat, Internet, go to the cinema, a lot, come out, get out.

2.能初步听懂、会说、会读、会写单词:visit, often, always, sometimes, there.

3.能初步听懂、会说、会读、会写句型 What do you do at weekends? I always/usually/often/sometimes

 

Focus of the lesson and predicted area of difficulty教学重难点:
1.能在交流中感知并理解always, usually, often, sometimes的含义和用法。

2.能在理解课文的基础上表达周末生活。

3.能初步听懂、会说、会读:at weekends, grandparent, play with, very much, chat, Internet, go to the cinema, a lot, come out, get out.

4.能初步听懂、会说、会读、会写单词:visit, often, always, sometimes, there.

5.能初步听懂、会说、会读、会写句型 What do you do at weekends? I always/usually/often/sometimes

 

 Teaching preparation教学准备: 
1、教具:多媒体

2、板书:写好课题  Unit 7 At weekends

预习要求:

  1. 预习Story time,听录音,跟读磁带,注意模仿语音语调。

  2. 读一读课本中出现的表示频率的副词,通过自学了解这些副词的意义。

  3. 通过复习搜索自己学过的及了解的动词词组,以备上课之用。

     

    Teaching procedures教学过程:
    Step 1 Greeting and free talk

    T shows the calender.

    We go to school from_____to______

    We dont have lessons on______or________

    T teaches: weekends

    Step 2 Watch and find

    Q: Whose weekends are they talking about?

    Students watch the cartoon and find the answer.

    Step3.Read and find

    Q: What do they do at the weekends?

    Read the story for the first time.

    S read and under what they do at the weekends.

    S read the phrases in the group.

    T provides them with help.

    T: Can you read the phrases you underline?

    Su Yang and Su Hai:

    visit grandparents,

    play with their cat Kitty,

    have dinner with their grandparents

    Mike:

    chat with his grandparents on the Internet,

    play football with Liu Tao,

    go to the park with his family,

    fly a kite’

    have a picnic

    Helen:

    have dancing lessons,

    go to the cinema with her friends

    Step4.Read and find

    Q: How often do they do these?

    Students read the story for the second time.

    Students circle all the frequency words.

    Always/usually/often/sometimes

    Step 5 Let’s talk

    Students work in the group.

    Each of them chooses a person and tells about the things they do at the weekends.

    Step 6 Read and repeat

    Students read after the cartoon.

    Students read in groups.

    Step 7 Make a mind map

    T: Let’s make a mind map. It can help us sort out the information and remember the story.

    Step 8 Homework

    1. Listen and read the text.

    2. Try to retell the text .
